6. Safety instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe these safety
instructions. We do not assume any liability for any consequential damage!
We do not assume liability for personal injury or damges to property caused by improper
handling or failure to observe the safety instructions. The warranty will be null and void in such
cases!
Dear Customer, the following safety and hazard notices are not only for the protection of your health but also for the
protection of the device. Please read the following points carefully:
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not permitted due to safety and
approval reasons (CE). Do not open/dismantle the product (apart from the steps to insert/replace the
batteries described in this operating manual).
Maintenance, adjustment or repair work may only be carried out by an expert/specialist workshop.
• Do not use this product in hospitals or medical institutions. Although the outdoor sensors only emit
relatively weak radio signals, they might cause malfunctions to life-supporting systems. The same
might apply to other areas.
• The weather station and wall plug transformer are only suitable for dry indoor locations. Do not
expose them to direct sunlight, strong heat, cold, humidity or dampness otherwise there is a risk of
an electric shock!
• The outdoor sensor is suited for the operation in outdoor areas. However, it must not be used under
water.
• The product is not a toy and it has no place in the hands of children. The product contains small parts,
glass (display) and batteries. Place the product so that it cannot be reached by children.
• Only operate the product in moderate and not in tropical climates.
• Condensation water might form if the product is taken from a cold to a warm environment (e.g. during
transport). This could damage the product and furthermore, the wall plug transformer also has an
associated risk of life-threatening electric shock!
Thus, allow the product to reach room temperature before putting it in to use. This may take several
hours.
• At schools, training facilities, hobby or self-help workshops the operation of the product is to be
supervised by trained personnel in a responsible manner.
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous playthings for children.
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental drops, even from
a low height.
