ACRYLAMIDE IN FOOD
Which food is affected?
Acrylamide is mainly produced in grain and potato products that are heated to high temperatures, such as potato
crisps, fries, toasts, rolls, bread, pastries (e.g. biscuits, gingerbread).
Tips for keeping acrylamide to a minimum when preparing food
General
Keeping the least possible heating time. Bake the food until the surface is golden
brown (not too dark). Larger and thicker pieces of bread and pastry contain less
acrylamide.
Baking cookies
Fries
Top/bottom heater at max. 200 °C or the Circular heater with a fan at max. 180 °C .
