The “2.4GHz 11bgn” menu allows you to view and configure information for 

your access point’s 2.4GHz wireless network across four categories: Basic, 

Advanced, Security and WDS. 

IV-6-2-1.  Basic 

 
The “Basic” screen displays basic settings for your access point’s 2.4GHz Wi-Fi 

network(s). 

 

 

 
 
 

 

When auto channel is disabled, select a wireless channel manually: 

 

Channel   

Select a wireless channel from 1 – 11. 

Channel Bandwidth 

Set the channel bandwidth: 20MHz (lower 

performance but less interference), 40MHz 

(higher performance but potentially higher 

interference) or Auto (automatically select 

based on interference level).   

BSS BasicRate Set 

Set a Basic Service Set (BSS) rate: this is a 

series of rates to control communication 

frames for wireless clients.
