Chapter 5. MODEM AND SWITCH
CONFIGURATION
5.1
Overview
In order to avoid damage to the modems and CRS-150 switch, it is important for the
user to follow this sequence of configuration:
•
First,
connect cables between the (powered OFF) modems and switch as
outlined previously in Chapter 4. CABLES AND CONNECTIONS.
•
Second,
configure the modems for 1:1 redundant operation, as outlined in this
chapter in Sect. 5.2.
•
Third,
once the modems have been properly configured for 1:1 redundant
operations, the user should then set the DIP switches on the CRS-150 to the
correct modem selection, as outlined in this chapter in Sect. 5.3 CRS-150
Switch DIP Settings.
