3.i. At this point, the top rail will be floating. One person should stand on a ladder and support the end of the
top rail while the second person inserts the a-frame legs into the triple end. Secure the legs to the triple end
using the 3/8” x 2 3/4” hex bolt and a set screw as shown on the top right. The top rail will not be level at this
point. Mark around the legs and dig the holes as before. When the holes are ready, insert the legs into the
holes and level the top rail.
Slide 13’11” Toprail
Through 8’ Top Sleeve.
3.h. First repeat step 3.a. After toprail is assembled to triple end, slide it through the 8’ ladder top sleeve as
shown below. Sleeve until flush with the other end, and then secure with 2- 3/8” set screws on top of the lower
sleeve.

Dig holes 18” in diameter at 12” deep. Repeat step 3.d.-3.f. when leveling this toprail.
