• This mask is

suitable for providing life support
ventilation.
• Keep
ALL
vent holes of the exhalation port clear.
•
DO NOT
overtighten the headgear straps. Watch for
signs of overtightening, such as excessive redness, sores
or bulging skin around the edges of the mask. Loosen the
headgear straps to alleviate symptoms.
• The mask should
ONLY
be used with PAP devices
(CPAP, Auto PAP, Bilevel) as prescribed by a physician or
respiratory therapist.
•
DO NOT
use the mask unless the PAP device is turned on
andoperatingproperly.Oncemaskiscorrectlyfittedand
thedeviceisturnedon,theexhaledairwillbeflushed
out while allowing fresh air in. Using the mask without
the device turned on can result in rebreathing exhaled
air and in some circumstances, could lead to suffocation.
• Follow
ALL
precautions and physician instructions
when using supplemental oxygen in conjunction with
PAP therapy.
• Oxygen supports combustion. Oxygen
MUST NOT
be
usedwhilesmokingorinthepresenceofanopenflame.
•
ONLY
use oxygen in well ventilated rooms/areas.
• If using supplemental oxygen with PAP therapy,
ENSURE
theoxygenflowisturned
OFF
when the PAP device is
not in use. Unused oxygen can accumulate within the
deviceortubing,increasingtheriskoffire.
•
DO NOT
smokeorlightaflameinthepresenceof
oxygen.
• Discontinue use of mask if any adverse reaction occurs.
Consult your physician immediately.
• Contact a health care professional if chest discomfort,
shortness of breath, stomach distention, belching or
severe headache are experienced.
•
AVOID
eating or drinking three hours before using this
mask to minimize the risk of vomiting during sleep.
•
DO NOT
use this mask if you are taking drugs that may
cause vomiting.
