You can have up to two I/O riser modules in a QBB, but you
cannot split them across partitions.
Each I/O riser has two cable connections (Port 0 and Port 1).
Ensure that both cables from one I/O riser are connected to
the same PCI drawer (
0-R
and
1-R
in Figure 2–1).
A QBB I/O riser (local) is connected to a PCI I/O riser (remote)
by BN39B cables. These cables are the same cables that
are used with MC2 hardware. Ensure that you connect the
BN39B cable from a QBB I/O riser to the
0-R
(I/O Riser 0)
or
1-R
(I/O Riser 1) connector in a PCI drawer and not to
a Memory Channel module.
