C5K Processor Board Replacement
CAUTION
Always take anti-static precautions when working with electronic components such as wearing
a wristband with an earth strap.
CAUTION
Always take precautions to avoid arcs and short circuits that may damage sensitive
components.
NOTE:
Before replacing the processor board, contact the Help Desk to ensure all data has been
uploaded. Do not unplug the board until this has been done.
Removal

Turn off the mains switch and the Battery Isolation switch.
▪
Remove the COMMS board as stated above. Label and photograph if required.
▪
Unplug the Ethernet cable from the COM5 Processor board.
▪
Unscrew the four hex bolts from the board.
▪
Pull the board off the UPS Motherboard to disconnect the processor board from the UPS
motherboard.
NOTE:
The COM5 Processor board MUST be installed the right way round. Installing Processor
board the wrong way will destroy them and will void any warranty.
Replacement
▪
Reconnect the COM5 Processor board to the UPS motherboard making sure that the 2
connectors are connected properly.
▪
Hand tight the 4 bolts in to secure the processor board.
▪
Plug in the ethernet cable to the processor board.
▪
Install the COMMS board.
▪
Make sure all the connectors are connected properly.
▪
Repower the unit.
▪
Contact the Help Desk and follow their instructions to re-install site parameters.
