17c. Head Pillow:
To remove head pillow:
1. From back of car seat, remove lower straps from adjuster buckle on top straps.
2. From front of car seat, pull head pillow lower straps out of
harness slots.
To attach head pillow:
Head pillow must be secured through slots at or above slots used
for shoulder harness straps.
1. Thread lower straps on head pillow through harness slots
where shoulder harness straps are routed.
2. Place top straps over top of seat back.
3. On back of car seat, slide ends of lower straps up through
center slot of buckle , down through lower slot and
around lower end of buckle , and pull to tighten
(fig. v)
. After tightening, slide end of lower strap
through slot at top end of buckle .

To remove infant inserts:
1. Unsnap sides of head insert from back side of head pillow.
2. Remove seat insert.
- Unbuckle chest clip and harness straps.
Lift seat insert out of car seat.
To install infant inserts:
1. Unbuckle chest clip and shoulder harness straps.
2. Position seat insert in car seat with lap belt in
openings on sides and crotch belt in opening
at front of seat insert

3. Slide side pockets of head insert over sides
of head pillow and snap onto back side of
head pillow

• For proper harness fit and to prevent ejection:
- Infant seat insert MUST be used for infants less than 25 lbs. (11.4 kg).
- Discontinue use of infant inserts when shoulder harness straps become too short to
fit infant or when forward-facing, child’s shoulder are above top harness slots.
