2.2 Configuring the Software
Before the 1400 I/O Expansion Module can be used, the In-Sight sensor must be configured
to recognize the availability of the additional inputs and outputs and the added RS-232 serial
communication capability.
2.2.1 Configuring an In-Sight Sensor to Recognize the I/O Module
The In-Sight sensor can be configured using In-Sight Explorer software or by an In-Sight
3400 directly. (See
Appendix B .)
Note:
If the In-Sight sensor is using firmware version 3.4.0 or older, the firmware must first be
upgraded to recognize and communicate with the 1400 I/O Expansion Module.
