10. Disconnect thermocouple to the left hand pilot
assembly, at the rear of the flame failure valve.
11. Remove the 2 screws securing the gas valve to
the gas manifold bracket. Move the gas valve
to the left hand side to allow access to the
thermostat.
12. Remove the thermostat guard cover from the
bracket. Slacken off the capillary nut securing
the thermostat capillary tube and push the
capillary tube back into the fryer tank to allow
the thermostat bulb to be removed from the
bracket in the tank. (If the thermostat bulb is
difficult to remove, it can be cut off at the end
of the capillary and removed separately).
13. Unscrew the gland nut and withdraw the
capillary and bulb from the tank.
14. With gas valve on a bench, remove the brass
inlet connection and the outlet 'T' connection
from the gas control valve as these will be
fitted to the replacement gas control valve.

1. Fit the brass inlet connection and the outlet 'T'
connection removed from the old gas control
valve, to the replacement gas control valve.
NOTE:
Ensure that the gas thread connections are
re-sealed.
2. Re-connect the RH pilot thermocouple to the
rear of the gas valve and tighten.
NOTE:
When screwing the thermocouple back into gas
control, once thread has tightened up, tighten
another ¼ turn only. Do not over tighten.
3. Loosely attach the gas valve to the bracket on
the gas manifold with 2 screws to allow the gas
valve to move slightly to assist fitting of the gas
connections.
4. Connect up the gas pipe from the manifold to
the RH side of the gas valve.
5. Loosely connect the gas pipe from the lower 'T'
connection on the LH side of the gas valve to
the RH main burner.
