pTRIA Interface Unit (PIU)

The PIU contains a data processing card and a multiplexer that combines DC power, 
antenna communication and modem communication onto a single coaxial cable for 
interface between the ADU and below deck equipment. The PIU has the following 
interfaces and connectors:

• GND  wing  nut

• 2 x LAN ports, one for connecting to the ACU and one for user interface

• 2 x N-connectors, one for ACU and one for ADU (antenna)

Service activation

Before you can start using the SAILOR 600 Viasat Ka, you need to activate the system for 
the Viasat Ka service. Contact your service provider for activation or visit the Viasat 
Maritime website (

www.maritime.viasat.com

).
