Quick guide
Configuration tasks (minimum)
This quick guide aims at experienced service personnel who have installed the SAILOR 600 Viasat Ka system
and connected power. It lists the minimum configuration tasks you have to make before the system can be
used on-air on a satellite.
1. Switch on the pTRIA Interface Unit.
2. Switch on the Antenna Control Unit.
3. Connect a PC to the LAN2 connector at the rear of the pTRIA Interface Unit.
4. Open Mozilla Internet browser to access the web interface of the SAILOR 600 Viasat Ka using the IP
address: https://192.168.100.1.
5. On the navigation bar, click
Antenna
to access the web interface of the antenna and proceed with tasks in
the table below.
6. The system goes automatically into tracking mode. It is preconfigured from the factory with a modem
profile and a satellite profile.
7. Verify that the SAILOR 600 Viasat Ka acquires the satellite. Check that the ACU display shows
ACQUISITION

8. Verify that the system is operational. Check that the status in the ACU display shows
TRACKING

to ensure that the antenna
can point and receive a signal from the satellite. For more information see
