Operation
• Let the grinder come up to speed before starting to grind.
• Adjust the eye shield so that you have a good view of the grinding operation.
• Remember that the grinding wheel gets smaller as it wears out; adjust the distance
between the tool rest, eye shield and wheel to 1.5 mm accordingly.
Changing the grinding wheel
1. Unplug the grinder from the outlet before changing grinding wheels.
2. Unscrew the eye shield and its bracket.
3. Remove the shatter guard to free the wheel.
4. Hold the wheel, remove the retaining nut and flange from the spindle. (bear in mind
that the left spindle retaining nut has a left-hand thread whilst the right side nut has
a right-hand thread.
5. Remove the old grinding wheel and attach a new one.
6. Assemble in reversed order.
7. Stand to the side of the machine. Start it and let it get up to speed to make sure
the wheel is balanced before grinding.
