The use of non-recommended accessories can cause accidents and
personal injury.

The tool conforms to current safety requirements. Repairs to the tool should only
be carried out by a tradesman using original spares; otherwise the tool could
cause accidents and personal injury.
Specific safety instructions for bench grinders
• Wear safety glasses.
• Never use damaged or deformed wheels or brushes.
• Only use grinding wheels recommended by the manufacturer and with a rated
speed compatible with the specification listed on the rating plate.
• Adjust the spark arrestor regularly to compensate for wear to the grinding wheel.
The distance between the spark arrestor and grinding wheel should be as little as
possible and should not exceed 2 mm.
• Ensure that the bench grinder is securely fastened to a stable surface before use.
• On combination grinders always have the brush mounted on the spindle to
minimise the risk of it making contact with the rotating spindle.
