EASY CONNECTION SET
“ for Eurodos 5, containing 10 mm hose (tube), two ball valves, two adapters, two
connectors for easy and quick installation. Please ask your dealer for availability, if not contained. Please note: This set may, or may not be included,
and may, or may not be available, depending on your local markets.
FIRST RUN OF YOUR EURODOS 5 POOL CONTROLLER, according to Graphic 1:
1.
Switch off main pool filter pump.
2.
Place pH sensor with blue top at position „
A
“ into flow cell (caution: only tighten sensor by hand, do not use tools, which may cause damage
to sensor! Warranty void if using tools!)
3.
Connect pH module „
C
“ with grey connector ring onto pH sensor with blue top.
4.
Place Redox sensor with black top at position „
B
“ into flow cell (caution: only tighten sensor by hand, do not use tools, which may cause
damate to sensor! Warranty void if using tools!)
5.
Connect Redox module „
D
“ with red connector ring onto Redox sensor with black top.
6.
Open ball valve „
O
“, and ball valve „
P
“. Now the flow cell has connection to the pool lines.
7.
Slowly close reduction vlavle „
3
“ in the pool line by about 20 to 60 degrees, so that the water starts to flow in the flow cell (the use of clear
PE tubes for the connection lines „
1
“ and „
2
“ help to see water flowing). Assure to have enaugh flow, to prevent chemical damage!
8.
Connect the unit to a power plug, which is switched on only when the main pool filter pump is turned on. The power plug used must been
switched off if the main filter pump is turned off. Ask your local electric installer to help you for a correct installation
.
9.
Switch on main pool filter pump, to power up the unit.
SETTING UP YOUR EURODOS 5 FOR YOUR POOL, according to Graphic 1, and Graphic 2 (display menue structure):
1.
Your Eurodos 5 pool controller is simple to use. It features a colour touch screen „
N
“ to select, and set all menues and parameters. The
simple logics is very intuitive: On touch screen „
N
“ all blue colored items are selectable, simply push, then change values, confirm with OK.
2.
The Eurodos 5 pool controller is pre calibrated onto the sensors, which are contained in the box. So calibration at installation, and first
startup is not required. If original CNI-Chemodata® sensors with salt stabilizers are used, calibration is only required once at the start of the
season / once a year, or after replacement of the sensors. For calibration, you will need buffer solutions pH7, pH9, and +465mV. Ask your
local dealer for these items. Sensors typically last 2 years / 2 seasons. However, depending on your local water situation, sensors meight
been at end of life anywhere from 6 month to 3 years.
3.
Suggested pH set point value is between 7.2 to 7.4 (factory pre set 7.4), according to your water quality. If you have very hard water,
suggested pH set point value is 7.4, if however you have normal to soft water, suggested pH value is 7.2
4.
Suggested Redox (ORP) set point value is between 650 mV to 700 mV (factory pre set 650 mV), depending on the needs of your
disinfection specific to your pool use caracteristics. Best experiences is to run you pool at normal use between 650 mV to 670 mV, which
should be good enaugh for normal disinfection. However, if your pool is in a place surrounded by big trees, where lots of biological materials
fall into the water, and / or heavy load of swimmers is normal (children, etc.) it is advisable to raise your Redox (ORP) value at 680 mV to
690 mV. In very few cases, when additional temperatures of the pool water is standard to been run at 30 °C, and higher, a Redox (ORP)
value of 700 mV could be considered as more suitable. CAUTION: DO NOT RUN YOUR POOL ON REDOX (ORP) VALUES OF 710 mV,
OR HIGHER, TO PREVENT UNCONTROLLABLE EXCESSIVE FREE CHLORINE LEVELS IN THE WATER.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE
ANY FORM OF DRY CHEMICALS, SUCH AS CHLORINE TABS, CHLORINE TABLETS, CHLORINE POWDER, SINCE THESE
PRODUCTS CONTAIN CYANURIC ACID, WHICH CAUSES TO BLIND OUT THE REDOX (ORP) SENSORS ABILITY TO MEASURE
CORRECT VALUES. IF DRY CHEMICALS HAVE BEEN USED, THE ONLY WAY TO CORRECT THE SITUATION IS TO REPLACE THE
COMPLETE POOL WATER WITH FRESH WATER. THERE IS NO OTHER SOLUTION
5.
Both, pH, and Redox (ORP) dosing channels feature microdosing timers. This function is in both dosing channels in the same logics, but to
been set up and used independantly. This function allows to slow down dosing to prevent overdosing in pools with special hydraulic
situation, or very small pools. Set the desired dosing time (ON), and the desired waiting time (OFF). Factory pre set is 10 seconds ON, and
10 seconds OFF. The unit will then dose in the set up cycles until the desired values of pH setpoint, and Redox (ORP) setpoints have been
reached. If you set both, ON, and OFF timers to zero (0) seconds, you will disable microdosing, and use the unit in plain ON/OFF mode,
without slowing down the dosing process
6.
Both pH, and Redox (ORP) dosing channels feature maximum sed feed timers (Max.Dose). This allows the unit to reach in each channel
independantly the setoint values within a certain ammount of time. Factory pre set is 60 Minutes in both channels. So if the unit is not
reaching the set point values in the preset time, the system goes in to alarm mode, and stops dosing on the affected dosing channel. You
can reset the alarm by simply pushing on the touch screen „
N
“ the ALARM RESET field. The dosing is open again fort he pre set timing.
7.
The Eurodos 5 pool controller usually shows pH, and Redox (ORP) values during normal operation. A calculated indicative free chlorine
value is shown within a certain range of pH, and ORP values. If out of range for proper calculation, the „out of range“ message shows up.
NOTE: Free chlorine value is an indicative, calculated value only, regarding the actual pH, and Redox (ORP) situation, then showing the
calculated value for a comparable value to your manual readings comparison, and for your convenience
WE WISH YOU A GOOD SUCCESS, AND A NICE POOL SEASON. THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING A CNI-CHEMODATA® QUALITY PRODUCT.
