2.6.4 Print options at the end of a sample
At the end of a sample a menu screen will appear which provides the user with some print
related options. The menu screen is illustrated below.
If any labels are to be automatically printed, the above screen will change, as soon as the 6
end-of-sample beeps finish, to the screen shown below during printing. The above screen will
return after the labels are printed. As described previously, the number of labels which will
automatically print at the end of a sample is selected from the Setup menu. After these labels (if
any) have been printed, the user still has the option of printing additional labels. To do this, the
user presses [
YES
] on the above menu screen, causing the screen below to appear during printing.
To advance the paper by one label the user presses [
FEED
]. This is a useful feature that makes it
easier to remove the last label printed. To return to the main screen the user presses [
NO
].
2.6.5 Handling a paper out condition
It may occur that the printer detects an out of paper condition while in the middle of printing a
label. In this case the following screen will appear:
To resume operation without printing any more labels, press [
USE W/O PRINTER
]. The CI-90A
will then have the label print feature disabled, and end of sample screens without the printer
appear as follows:
If the paper runs out while in the middle of printing a label and you would like to finish
printing the labels for the current sample you will need to load new labels. To load new labels
you will need to remove any remaining labels from the printer then set unit on its side and
remove label door. With new label roll in hand press the [TOF] button then feed labels into
printer. Press [TOF] again to properly align labels then [CONT] the screen should appear as
shown below.
