Slowly release

CAUTION:
Make sure the engine is fully warm before adjusting the
idle speed. Adjusting the idle speed before the engine is
warm could result in excessive engine wear.

Connect tachometer to the engine
.
•
Shift into neutra

and start the engine
.
•
Adjust the idle speed as needed by turning the throttle
stop screw
.

he correct idle speed (in neutral) should be
1500 ± 50 rpm

improper heat range for this engine could cause severe

Remove the spark plug using the spark plug wrench pro-
vided in the tool kit.

and deposits

Replace if a large amount of corrosion is
present.

Using a wire-type feeler

check the gap on every new
spark plug
