To freeze the image press (if you have a touch screen monitor) or click the
Capture button (

). The image is no longer Live. If you wish to abort
capture you can press the ‘Stop’ button at any time (

The histogram tool is very useful for illustrating the distribution of grey scales
within the image (
Figure 18
). The level of grey scales produced is dependent on
exposure time - up to 65536 grey scales will be displayed (
Figure 19).

The red lines on the histogram are moveable allowing you to adjust the
brightness and contrast by using the histogram.
