Cleaning and Storage
CAUTION!

Remove the plug from the mains socket before cleaning the device.
❐
After use, the device may still be very hot. Allow the device to cool down completely
before you empty the water reservoir and/or clean the device and store it away.
❐
Never immerse the device in water or other liquids!
❐
Never touch the device, the cable or the plug with wet hands.
❐
Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads for cleaning.
These can damage the surface.
1. Pull the plug out of the plug socket.
2. Place the device upright on its base and allow it to cool down completely.
3. Empty the water reservoir each time after you use the device. To do this, open the
water reservoir cover, hold the device over a sink or similar outlet and turn the device
upside down. The remaining water will now run out of the reservoir.
4. If necessary, wipe off the outside of the device with a soft, slightly damp cloth and
dry it with a soft cloth.
5. Store the device in a dry, clean, frost-free location which is out of the reach of chil-
dren and animals. When you do this, place the device upright on its base on a

stable surface.
Troubleshooting
If the device is not working properly, please check
fi
rst of all whether you can rectify a
problem yourself. Otherwise you should contact the customer service department. Do
not attempt to repair a defective device yourself!
Problem
Possible cause/solution
The device does not
work. The tempera-
ture control lamp
does not light up.
• Is the mains plug correctly inserted into the socket?
• Is the plug socket defective? Try a different socket and
check the fuse of your mains connection.
No steam is pro-
duced.
• Is the water reservoir
fi
lled with water?
• The device has not yet reached operating temperature.
Wait until the temperature control lamp lights up constantly.
• Is the temperature control on a low temperature setting?
Select a higher temperature setting.
• Has the device overheated? The safety switch-off function
was activated. Pull the plug out of the plug socket, wait
until the device has cooled down, plug the mains plug into
a mains socket so that the device switches back on and
heats up again.
