PLEASE NOTE!
■
Before commencing the cleaning, note the safety instructions in the “Safety
Instructions” chapter!
■
Note the
MAX
marking on the dust container. If during use the marking is reached,
empty the dust container. The HEPA
fi
lter and the
fi
lter strap must also be regularly
cleaned in order to prevent overloading of the motor.
■
The HEPA
fi

not
be cleaned with water!
■
The dust container and the
fi
lter strap must be completely dry before they are put
back inside the device.
■
Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads to clean the
device. These could damage the surfaces.
Emptying the Dust Container and Cleaning the Filter
The dust container (
8
) should be emptied at regular intervals to maintain good suction
force. You can look through the transparent housing to see how much dirt has accumu-
lated inside.
1. Hold the handheld vacuum cleaner vertically, with the suction opening pointing down-
wards, over an open rubbish bin.
2. Keep the release button (
9
) of the dust container held
down and carefully remove the dust container.
3. Carefully take out the HEPA
fi
lter (
5
) and empty the dust
container.
4. A
fi
lter strap is attached around the HEPA
fi
lter. Open the
hook and loop fastener of the
fi
lter strap and gently tap out
the HEPA
fi
lter and the
fi
lter strap.
5. Wash the dust container and the
fi
lter strap if necessary
under cold, running water.
NOTE!
The HEPA
fi
lter must not be cleaned with water! The
fi
lter strap must not be washed in the washing machine.
6. Allow the dust container and the
fi
lter strap to dry completely in the air before they
are reinserted.
NOTE!
Do not under any circumstances use a hair dryer for drying.
7. Place the
fi
lter strap around the HEPA
fi
lter and close the hook and loop fastener.
8. Insert the HEPA
fi
lter with
fi
lter strap back into the dust container so that it sits directly
on the housing wall all the way round.
9. Place the dust container at the bottom of the device
fi
rst and then
fl
ip it shut. The dust
container must be
fi
rmly locked in place at the top and bottom of the device.
