Very cold glass surfaces (windows in winter) must not be cleaned with the device.
They may shatter if they come into contact with hot steam.
■
Never direct the steam on one spot for longer than around 10 seconds. Otherwise
this may damage the surface.
■
Make sure that the mains cable is not squashed, bent or laid over sharp edges and
does not come into contact with hot surfaces or hot steam. Do not wrap the mains
cable around the device (danger of the cable breaking).
■
Never pull or carry the device by the mains cable. When the mains plug is removed
from the plug socket, always pull on the mains plug and never the mains cable!
■
Never operate the device without water.
■
Protect the device from heat, naked
fl
ames, direct sunlight, sub-zero temperatures,
strong temperature
fl
uctuations and impacts. Also protect the main unit with the ex-
ception of the water tank from persistent moisture and wet conditions.
■
Use only original accessories from the manufacturer in order to guarantee that there
is no interference that may prevent the device from working and to avoid damage.
■
Do not place any heavy objects on the device, the connecting cable or accessories.
Do not subject the device to any collisions.
Before Initial Use
1. Before using the device, remove all packaging materials and any labels that may be
on the device and are used for protection during transportation or for advertising.
Never remove the rating plate and any possible warnings!
2. Assemble the device (see the “Assembly” chapter).
Water residues in the water tank (

) are attributable to the fact that this device
has been tested.
Assembly
PLEASE NOTE!

The device must be switched off and the mains plug disconnected from the mains
power before assembling and taking apart or changing accessories.
Attaching / Detaching the Handle Rod
•
Assembling:
Plug the end of the handle rod (

) into the upper opening of the
frame (

). When you do this, press the locking lug of the handle rod so that it
fi
ts
into the frame. The locking lug must engage in the corresponding recess. To do this,
rotate the handle rod from side to side a little.

Taking apart:
Press the locking lug of the handle rod and pull out the handle rod at
the same time.
Attaching / Detaching the Floor Cloth
The
fl
oor cloth (

) attaches to the cleaning foot (

) by means of hook and loop fasteners.
•
Attaching:
Place the
fl
oor cloth on the cleaning foot and press it on
fi
rmly.
•
Detaching:
Pull the
fl
oor cloth off the cleaning foot.
