Set up CAPTIONS
ON –
open the option.
OFF – close the option.
The TV set must support closed captions function.
Set up SCR SAVER
When no disc or playback stop some time, the unit will
automatic open the Screen saver function. This time the
screen will become black, only the DVD patten move on
the screen. This function is protect the TV screen long ti-
me display will be hurt.
Speaker Setup

Press UP/DOWN button to select the SPEAKER
SET UP and press ENTER.
•
The left is the main catalog, the right is the children
catalog.
•
Press LEFT/RIGHT button to enter the children cata-
log and press ENTER to confirm.
Set up the DOWNMIX MODE
Press the Up- or Down button to select DOWNMIX (if you
connect the player to a Multichannel Receiver)
The following settings are available for each item:
• DOWNMIX: LT/RT STEREO or OFF
• Choose LT/RT (left/right) if the Player is connected to
a Stereo that has a Dolby Pro Logic decoder.
• Choose STEREO if you connected the Player to a
Stereo amplifier that is not Dolby Digital or DTS com-
patible,
DOLBY DIGITAL Setup
•
Press UP/DOWN button to select the AUDIO SET UP
and press ENTER.
•
The left is the main catalog, the right is the children
catalog.
•
Press LEFT/RIGHT button to enter the children cata-
log and press ENTER to confirm.
1. Set up the SPDIF-OUTPUT
•
Press UP/DOWN button to select SPDIF OUT, then
press ENTER.
•
Press UP/DOWN button to select SPDIF OFF,
SPDIF/RAW, or SPDIF/PCM, then press ENTER.
• Choose SPDIF OFF if no external audio equipment is
connected.
• Select SPDIF RAW if the player is connected to a 5.1
home theatre system by a coaxial cable (not
supplied).
• Select SPDIF PCM to enable the internal Dolby Digital
decoder of this player.
2. Set up the COMPRESSION
– Dynamic Range Compression
Dynamic Range Compression reduces volume chan-
ge by letting you adjust the difference between soft
and loud sounds.
Press UP/DOWN button to set Dynamic Range Compres-
sion to 1/8 through FULL or to turn it OFF, then press
ENTER.
To hear the full range of range of sounds as recorded,
choose OFF or a lower ratio such as 1/8 or 2/8. To mini-
mize the difference in volume between lound segments
and quiet scenes, choose a higher ratio such as 6/8 or
FULL.
