Safety
• The toaster may be used by children of 8 years and above and by persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capability or lack of experience and
knowledge provided they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Never let children play with the product.
• Cleaning and maintenance may be carried out by children but only under
adult supervision.
• Place the toaster on a flat, non-flammable surface and out of children’s reach.
Make sure that there is adequate space above and on all sides for air circulation.
• Do not touch any other parts of the toaster other than its controls as it becomes
hot during use.
• Always unplug the lead from the power point and let the toaster cool down
before handling it.
• Do not place the toaster where there is a risk of it falling into water or other types
of liquid.
• The toaster should only be connected to an earthed 230 V power point.
• The toaster should only be used as described in the instruction manual.
• Never leave the toaster unattended whilst it is in use.
• Make sure that the mains lead does not drape over the edge of the table or
worktop. Make sure that the lead does not come into contact with hot surfaces
such as cooker hobs.
• Always unplug the toaster from the power point before cleaning it or when it is not
to be used for a long time.
• Never immerse the toaster in water.
• If a slice of bread gets stuck in the toaster, unplug the toaster and let it cool before
trying to remove the bread. Dislodge the bread using a wooden or plastic utensil to
avoid damaging the heating element.
• Never subject the toaster to rough treatment, such as knocks and blows.
• Do not pull or carry the toaster by the lead.
• The toaster should only be used and stored indoors.
• Do not use the toaster if its mains lead or plug is damaged.
