Art. no. 18-2028, 36-2891 • Model EMP600STV
Please read the entire instruction manual before using and save it for future use. We apologise for
any text or photo errors and any changes of technical data. If you have any questions concerning
technical problems please contact our Customer Service Department.
A. Description
-
Connect the energy saver to a power point and
connect the TV’s mains lead to the energy saver.
-
The energy saver automatically disconnects
power to the TV 30 sec. after the TV’s function
has been activated. Because the TV is without
power the risk for fire and energy consumption is
minimised.
-
The energy saver responds to IR-signals from
your remote. Point the remote control towards
the device’s receiver and press once on any
button to return power to the TV. Then turn on
your TV as normal.
-
The first time the energy saver is connected,
it calibrates itself according to the TV’s power
consumption in standby mode. This is indicated
by the flashing red LED.
B. Buttons and functions
C. Use
1. Turn off the TV and remove the plug from the
power point.
2. Connect the TV’s mains lead to the device and
then connect the device to a power point. Im-
mediately put the TV into standby mode and wait
until the device’s red LED has stopped flashing.
Make sure the device’s IR receiver is not obstruct-
ed so that it can receive signals from the remote.
3. Point the remote control towards the device’s
IR-receiver and press any button to return power
to the TV. Then, turn on your TV as normal.
Alternatively, the power can also be returned by
pressing the ON button on the front of the device.
4. The energy saver senses when the TV has gone
into standby mode and automatically cuts power
after 30 sec. in standby mode.
NB:
-
If the energy saver cuts power when the TV
is on or does not cut power when the TV has
been in standby for more than a min., then the
device needs to be re-calibrated. In such a case,
unplug the device and let it rest powerless for a
few minutes. Go back to step 2 and repeat the
calibration process.
-
The connected TV must be able to operate on
the same voltage and frequency listed in the
energy saver’s specifications.
-
The energy saver is only intended for indoor use.
D. Warning
1.
Do not connect more than one device to the
energy saver.
2.
Remove the device out from the power point
to ensure that the product is completely
disconnected from the mains.
