REPLACING THE AIR FILTER
Routine maintenance to the air filter helps maintain proper airflow. Replace
the air filter according to the following steps every 250 or 500 hours or more
often when using the generator in a dusty area.
1. Remove the access panel shown
by removing the bolts with a
10mm wrench.
2. Remove the nut holding the air
filter cover.
3. Remove the air filter cover.
4. Remove the used air filter element
and replace with a new element.
5. Refit the air filter cover, tighten the
nut, then refit the access panel.
CAUTION: NEVER TRY TO WASH OR REUSE THE AIR FILTER ELEMENT.
ALWAYS REPLACE WITH A NEW ONE. NEVER RUN THE ENGINE WITH
BROKEN AIR FILTER ELEMENT OR WITHOUT ONE AT ALL. THIS CAN CAUSE
SERIOUS DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
