• For general use, we recommend SAE 5W-40 oil.
4. The crankcase is full when the oil
level reaches the lower lip of the
opening of the oil filler hole.
5. Replace and tighten the oil filler
cap.
STEP 3- ADD DIESEL FUEL
This generator runs on regular diesel fuel. To add fuel:
1. Make sure the generator is on a level surface.
2. Lift open the top cover.
WARNING: DIESEL FUEL AND DIESEL FUMES ARE HIGHLY FLAMMABLE. A
NEARBY OPEN FLAME CAN LEAD TO AN EXPLOSION EVEN IF NOT
DIRECTLY IN CONTACT WITH THE FUEL.
• Do not operate near an open flame. Do not smoke near the
generator.
• Always operate on a firm, level surface.
• Always turn the generator off before refueling. Allow the
generator to cool for at least 2 minutes before removing the
fuel cap. Loosen cap slowly to relieve any pressure in tank.
• Do not overfill the fuel tank. Fuel may expand during operation.
Do not fill to the top of the tank.
• Always check for spilled fuel before operating.
• Before transporting, turn fuel valve to the off position.
