ROUBLESHOOTING
This chapter contains information to assist with problems that may be encountered when
installing and using the
CITELlink
SIP Handset Gateway.
Checklist
If problems are encountered with the SIP Gateway, check that all advice in this document has
been followed. Also, try checking the following items:
1. Is the IP Centrex system functioning properly? See your ISP’s documentation.
2. Is the RJ21x connector firmly seated into its front-panel connector? Is the power
indicator on?
3. Are the Gateway LED indications correct? (see page 30).
4. Consider basic telephone troubleshooting - Swapping out the telephone for a similar
model, checking the telephone cable, handset cable etc.
5. Check that the SIP Gateway has network connectivity to the IP Centrex system - use
a ping to establish correct links. Also check the SIP Gateway configuration is correct.

If a problem still exists after working through the checklist, contact your supplier for advice
and further support.
