Configuring the Cisco 12008
Note
SNMP is the most widely supported standard for managing networks.
SNMP provides a means to access and set configuration and run-time
parameters and to monitor and control network elements for routers and
communication servers. For more information about SNMP, refer to the
appropriate software configuration publications listed in the section entitled “If
You Need More Configuration Information.”

Network Service (CLNS) management:

CLNS is an Open System Interconnection (OSI) layer service that does
not require a circuit to be established before transmitting data. For more

configuration publications listed in the section entitled “If You Need More
Configuration Information.”
On completion of this procedure, you have successfully established the router’s global
configuration parameters.
