Cleaning after each use:
1. Prior to cleaning, leave the espresso maker to cool down.
2. Unscrew the espresso maker and clean each part with clear water.
3. Leave the appliance to dry completely. We recommend that you
leave all of the individual parts unscrewed when storing.
Regular thorough cleaning and decalcifying:
From time to time, it is advisable that you thoroughly clean and
decalcify your espresso maker. How long these cleaning intervals are
depends on the lime content of your water. In the event that a little
lime scale may have collected in the water tank, it is recommended
that you decalcify it gently using citric acid or vinegar.
Rinsing / Cleaning:
1. Begin as you would if cleaning the appliance after each use.
2. This time, wash all of the parts to your espresso maker individually and
thoroughly using hot dishwater. To do so, remove the gasket and the
sieve so that you can also clean inside the central column (found in
the upper part of the espresso maker). Do not clean the espresso
maker in the dish-washer.
3. Afterwards, thoroughly rinse each part with clear water.
Decalcifying:
1. Thoroughly wash the espresso maker as described above.
2. Fill the lower part of the espresso maker up to the rim with a citric acid
or vinegar solution. (Use a decalcifier for more severe cases of lime
scale).
