Installation safety and warning guidelines
Read all safety and warning guidelines before installing the
projector.
Warning! If not avoided, the following could
result in death or serious injury.
•
PERSONAL INJURY HAARD! Only qualified service
technicians are authorized to install or remove the product
and lens.
•
When planning the layout of the product, follow all safety
precautions and instructions provided in the Installation
and Setup guide.
AC power safety precautions
The standard voltage of the projector is AC 100-240V.
Warning! If not avoided, the following could
result in death or serious injury.
•
SHOCK HAZARD! Use power as indicated on the tags
attached to the projector. Any doubt on the power cord
types, consult your dealer or local power company.
Notice. If not avoided, the following could result in
property damage.
•
TRIP OR FIRE HAZARD! Keep the projector close to the AC
power socket.
•
Unplug the AC power cord when the projector is not in
use.
•
FIRE HAZARD! Do not use a power cord, harness, or cable
that appears damaged.
•
SHOCK HAZARD! Only use the AC power cord provided
with the product or recommended by Christie.
Laser safety precautions
This product is classified as Class 1 of IEC 60825-1 Third
edition 2014-05 and RG3 of IEC/ EN 62471-5 First edition.
Obey the laws and regulations of your country in relation to
the installation and management of the device.
For the installation and management of the product, comply
with the relevant laws and regulations of your country.
•

Radiation pattern from the protective housing:
Wavelength: 455 nm
Maximum laser output: 333mW
Warning! If not avoided, the following could
result in death or serious injury.
•
LASER RADIATION HAZARD! Do not look directly into the
beam.
•
RADIATION EXPOSURE HAZARD! Use of controls or
adjustments, or performing procedures other than those
specified may result in hazardous radiation exposure.
•
Operators must control access to the beam within the
hazard distance and install the product at a height
prevents exposure of spectators' eyes within the hazard
distance.
•
PERMANENT/TEMPORARY BLINDNESS HAZARD! Keep
within bounds for installing the projector. Install a barrier
for preventing human eyes from entering the RG3 zone.
For the barrier installation position, keep the horizontal
security zone over 1 m from the RG3 zone.
•
PERMANENT/TEMPORARY BLINDNESS HAZARD! If
installing the projector overhead, keep at least a 3 m
distance between the floor surface and the RG3 zone. The
projector must be installed at a height that prevents your
eyes from being exposed within the RG3 zone. The
equipment administrator (operator) must control the entry
of viewers into the RG3 zone
.
•
This projector is an RG3 product. The projector is for
professional use and must be installed in location where
safety is assured. For this reason, be sure to consult your
dealer as installation and attachment/detachment of the
lens unit must be performed by a professional service
personnel. Never try to install the projector by yourself.
This may result in visual impairment.
Service and maintenance safety guidelines
Caution! If not avoided, the following could result
in minor or moderate injury.
•
SHOCK HAZARD! Unplug the AC power cord before
cleaning.
•
FIRE OR SHOCK HAZARD! Unplug the AC power cord if
damaged.
•
FIRE HAZARD! Do not use a power cord, harness, or cable
that appears damaged.
•
If components replacement is required, make sure the
replacements are approved by the manufacturer and the
replacements feature the same as those being replaced.
•
FIRE or SHOCK HAZARD! Only use parts approved by the
manufacturer.
•
High leakage current. Ground connection essential before
connecting power
