NOTE:

If

NOT

using the full speaker extension, move the

Extension Limit Adjustment from the factory preset to
the right

one inch for each desired additional two

inches of overall speaker arm extension

(one inch

extension for right speaker arm and one inch extension
for left speaker arm). (See Figure 22)

Figure 22

5.

Press and hold the orange Activator button on bottom of
control box for approximately 13 seconds. (See Figure 19)

6.

Release the Activator button after the Status light on bottom
of control box begins to blink alternately red and green. The
system is now in "Learn Mode".

NOTE:

In the "Learn Mode" the system runs slowly back and

forth several times and measures its environment for
extended and retracted locations. Leave the shim in
place during this "Learn Mode". The system will stop
and remember the learned measurements.

7.

Once the system has stopped, loosen the Retraction Limit
Adjustment a full turn and move it to the right along the
channel to the hard stop, then tighten. (See Figure 21)

8.

Remove shim from the display.

NOTE:

When not in use the CM4 should be kept in the

retracted position.

Status Light Codes

The Status light will indicate what the CM4 is doing or what
mode it is in through a series of patterns of light flashes and
colors.

Normal Speaker Arms at Rest

 - The "Status" light

will be a steady green.

Normal Run Motion of Speaker Arms

 - The

"Status" light will flash in groups of 2 green followed
by a pause. In Normal Run Motion the speaker arms
have a variable speed. The speaker arms will start
slowly, accelerate to a faster speed, and then slow
down before coming to a stop.

Speaker Arms Obstructed

  - The "Status" light will

flash in groups of 3 red followed by a pause. If the
speaker arms meet an obstruction they will sense
the obstruction, stop momentarily, and move in the
opposite direction for a few seconds. Remove the
obstruction and activate the speaker arms. They
should return to Normal Run Motion.

Speaker Arms Obstructed Both Ways

- The

"Status" light will flash in groups of 4 red followed by
a pause. Similar to "Speaker Arms Obstructed" but
speaker arms are prevented from moving in either
direction. Remove the obstruction and then activate
the speaker arms. They should return to Normal
Run Motion.

Power Loss

 - The "Status" light will be solid red.

This indicates there has been a power loss. When
next activated the speaker arms will move at a slow
speed to their full closed position. If the speaker
arms are already retracted they will not move. The
"Status" light will return to solid green and the
speaker arms are ready for normal activation.
