improper and therefore dangerous. After re-
moving any packaging materials, ensure that
the humidifier has not been damaged during
transport. In the case of doubt, do not use the
device and contact technically trained person-
nel, your dealer or Artsana S.p.A. Keep all pack-
aging materials (plastic bags, boxes, cardboard,
etc.) out of reach of children.
• Before connecting the device make sure that
the information on the AC/DC power adaptor
data plate (7) is compatible with your electricity
distribution network.
• WARNING! In order to reduce the risk of prolif-
eration of germs and bacteria and for its correct
operation, before starting the device, the water
tank (5), nebuliser unit (6) and steam outlet noz-
zle (4) must be rinsed and thoroughly dried as
indicated in the CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
section of this manual.
• WARNING! Always fill the water tank (5) only
with previously boiled drinking water and let it
cool to at least 40 °C. Never turn on the device
without first filling it with water.
• Only place the device on rigid, flat and stable
surfaces.
• This device must only be powered by its spe-
cific AC/DC adaptor: ELY mod. SAW-1201200
supplied with it. The adaptor (7) must only be
replaced with exactly the same type and with
the same electrical characteristics.
• Connect the adaptor connector to the socket
on the product (3) and then the adaptor to a
socket that is easily accessible only by an adult.
Never pull the AC/DC cord (7) to remove it from
the socket or humidifier socket.
• Always disconnect the power adaptor (7) from
the mains socket when the device is not in use
and/or left unattended. In addition, when the
device is operating, do not leave the device,
AC/DC (7) and its power cable near sources of
heat.
• Do not leave the device and adaptor (7) ex-
posed to atmospheric agents (rain, sun, etc.).
• WARNING! Never obstruct the air vents (10) on
the device with cloths or any other object. Ob-
structing the air vents could cause the internal
electric circuit to overheat.
• Never allow the electric cord or air vents to
come into contact with water.
• Do not let water get into the upper part of the
device nebuliser unit (6); if this should happen
take it to your dealer or a specialised technician
for testing before using it again.
