through the belt guide located at the rear of the
child car seat’s backrest (diag.23).
5. Pull the belt around the child car seat as
tight as possible, ensuring that it is not slack or
twisted. WARNING: DURING TRANSPORT, THE
CAR’S DIAGONAL SEAT BELT MUST ALWAYS
BE IN THE POSITION INDICATED IN DIAG. 24.
NEVER USE THE CHILD CAR SEAT WITHOUT
PASSING THE BELT THROUGH THE APPROPRI-
ATE GUIDE: THIS MAY SERIOUSLY COMPRO-
MISE YOUR CHILD’S SAFETY.
6. Put the handle into the “A” position (diag. 10).
7. To remove the child car seat from the base
unit: repeat the above operations in reverse:
slide out the car’s diagonal belt from the guide
on the backrest, reposition the handle in the “B”
position (diag. 10), unlock the child car seat by
pulling the appropriate release handle and simul-
taneously lift the seat by the carry handle.
Diag. 25 shows some examples of incorrect fi t-
ting.

USING THE SUN CANOPY
The child car seat comes with a sun canopy to
protect your child from the sun and wind.
It can be easily locked and unlocked to the child
car seat by two joints, and it can be adjusted to
the desired position (diag. 26).
USING THE CHILD CAR SEAT IN A FIXED
OR ROCKING POSITION
(BABY ROCKING CHAIR USE)
When the child car seat is not used in the car, it
can also be used as a rocking or baby chair. To
use it as a rocking chair, push the stop (diag. 15)
and move the handle to position “B” (diag. 10).
To use it in a fi xed position, pull out the stop
(diag. 21) and move the handle to position “D”
(diag. 10).
The child car seat should not be used as a baby-
rocker chair with children who are already able
to stand up on their own (until around 6 months
of age or weighing 9 Kg.).
Always fasten the restraint harness to prevent
accidental falls.
Never leave your child unattended.
WARNING: do not use the child car seat on high
or sloped surfaces.
WARNING: before transporting the child car
seat by hand, always put and lock the handle in
the vertical position “B” (diag.10).
CHILD CAR SEAT
+ STROLLER VERSION
WARNING! Please refer to the stroller instruc-
tions to use the child car seat with the stroller
The new CHICCO strollers, featuring the CLIK
CLAK system, have armrests with special de-
vices, which allow you to fi t the child car seat
directly onto the stroller without using other ac-
cessories. To fi t the child car seat to the stroller
you must fi rst open the stroller and then follow
the stroller’s instructions.
1. To fi t the child car seat to the stroller, hold the
child car seat by the carry handle and carefully
place it onto the stroller, as shown in diag. 27.
2. Pull out the two locking pins from the carry
handle, by pulling and turning the two knobs, on
the sides of the carry handle (diag. 28).
3. Move the carry handle, by pressing the lower
buttons, until it is parallel with the stroller arm-
rests. Fit the locking pins into the locking slots on
the stroller armrests by pushing down the child
car seat and by pressing on the footrest area of
the child car seat, until an audible click is heard.
Check that the child car seat is securely fi tted
to the stroller by attempting to lift the child car
seat out of the stroller.
4. To release the child car seat from the stroller
simultaneously press the two red buttons locat-
ed on the carry handle, as shown in diag. 29.
5. Move the carry handle back to its vertical
position and store away the two locking pins
that were previously pulled out at point 2, and
remove the child car seat from the stroller.
WARNING: the child car seat can be fi tted or re-
moved from the stroller with your child strapped
to the child car seat. However, these operations
may be more diffi cult due to the weight of your
child. We therefore recommend that you exer-
cise extra caution when carrying out the above
operations.
REMOVING/CLEANING THE CHILD CAR
SEAT’S FABRIC COVER
• To clean the child car seat’s fabric cover, unfas-
ten the harness, pull the two metal joints out
of their slots and remove the seat’s fabric cover
(diag. 30). Please refer to the care label for in-
structions on cleaning the seat’s fabric cover.
• The harness, buckle and other plastic parts
should be cleaned with a soft damp cloth. Do
not use solvents or bleach, they may damage
them and make them unsafe.
