E. Installation Notes:
•
Anytime the OEM painted surface is broken by drilling, component removal, etc, the exposed
metal surfaces must be protected from corrosion. This is especially important in areas where
salt is used on the roads during the winter months. GM recommends their
Super Lube with
PTFE (part #12371287, GM bulletin # 03-00-89-008D). Follow the instructions in the bulletin
to ensure a positive outcome.
•
DO NOT use Teflon tape on any fittings. Teflon tape may get into the regulator primary and
secondary seats and the fuel injector seats causing fuel pressure problems. Any warranty
returned item found contaminated with Teflon tape will be returned.
