Parking Brake Not Set Warning
Light
This warning light appears on the display
and a buzzer sounds when any of the doors
are opened while the parking brake is not
applied.
The warning light will go out and the buzzer
will stop when the door is closed or the
parking brake is applied.
Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)
Warning Light
This light should come on briefly when the
engine control switch is turned to the ON
position, and go off when the engine has
started.
This light comes on as a warning related to
the selective catalytic reduction (SCR)
system. If this light comes on, check the DEF
gauge. Add DEF if necessary. If DEF level is
OK, have your vehicle serviced by your
dealer.

Engine Shutdown Warning Light
The Engine Stop Warning light comes on
briefly when the engine control switch is
turned to the ON position, as a check to
show the light is working. The light turns
off when the engine is started.
If this light stays on or comes on while the
engine is running, it indicates the engine
control module has detected a critical
problem and the engine will shut down. Pull
off to a safe place well clear of traffic and
stop the engine. Contact your dealer or
nearest Cummins Dealer. However, if the
engine shuts down when you are still in
traffic, you can restart the engine and get
another 30 seconds of operation. Do this
only if you have to, since there is a problem
that can harm the engine if it is not fixed.
The engine must remain shut down until
the engine can be repaired.
