Battery gas is flammable and explo-

from the battery. The battery used
for boosting must be 12 volts. Never
allow battery cable clamps to touch
each other.

The ignition system uses high volt-
age. Never touch any ignition sys-
tem components when the engine
is running.
Windshield Washer Fluid Check
The windshield washer fluid reservoir
is located in the engine compartment.
Be sure to check the reservoir fluid
level at regular intervals. Fill the reser-
voir with windshield washer solvent
and operate the system for a few sec-
onds to flush out the residual water.
Windshield Wiper Blades
Operating the wipers on dry glass for
long periods may deteriorate the
wiper blades. Always include washer
fluid when using the wipers to remove
salt or dirt from a dry windshield.
Avoid using the wiper blades to re-
move frost or ice from the windshield.
To avoid damaging the wiper blades,
make sure that the wipers are not fro-
zen to the glass before turning them
on.
NOTE:
Always keep the rubber blade
free from contact with petroleum prod-
ucts such as engine oil, gasoline, etc.
Wiper Blade Replacement
Lift the wiper arm and rotate the wiper
blade at a right angle with the wiper
arm. Press the release tab (arrow) in
the direction as shown in the figure to
loosen the wiper blade from the wiper
arm. With the release tab pressed,
slide the wiper blade away from the
wiper arm . Install the new wiper blade
in the reverse order, and confirm the
release tab is locked securely.
