1.1 CA 6470 TESTER
The CA 6470 tester is a portable measurement instrument designed to measure earth resistance and
ground resistivity.

1.2 ACCESSORIES
The C.A 6470 tester is supplied in its standard configuration with :
- A mains power a 2-plug mains cable for battery recharging on mains,
- User manual (5 languages) on CD-ROM,
- 5 quick-start sheets (1 per language),
- An export software for stored data + communication cable
Optional accessories available

- Earthing and resistivity kits, 100m or 150m,
- DataViewer Pro software for data export and processing, and remote control,
- Continuity set for resistance/continuity measurements
- Car cigarette lighter adapter for battery recharging

1.3 BATTERY CHARGE
The unit operates with an NiMH battery which can be recharged:
- on the mains : 100-240 V, 50-60Hz input adapter / 18VDC, 1.5A output
- on a dc source : 9-13 VDC input adapter, 18 VDC, 1.5 A output
Around 500 charging cycles can be performed on the battery before replacement is required.
!
Do not use the unit when charging on a dc source : this can result in an incorrect
measurement in extreme conditions.
The battery level is indicated by the state of the
symbol :
- when the battery is entirely discharged, no indication in given on the screen on startup,
- when the battery level is low, the
symbol indicates the charge level and the "Bat. Low"
message is displayed.
