7. Battery
a. The battery should be removed from the unit and stored separately in a cool dry location
without direct sunlight. The temperature should be maintained between 32
F (0
C) and
90
F (32
C).
b. Charge battery using a low current charge (3 amps or less) every 2 months.
8. Transmission
a. See Chapter 5 for more detailed information.
b. Drain transmission fluid and refill with new fluid.
9. Chassis
a. Completely lubricate any moving parts as indicated in the Lubrication Section of this
guide.
b. Touch up any paint chips or flaws.
c. Coat any bare metal with metal preservative or a light coating of grease or oil to prevent
the onset of rust.
d. Cover the seats if unit is stored outside.
CAUTION
EXTENDED STORAGE CAN DAMAGE TRANSMISSION SEALS.
