MAINTENANCE

My generator will not start
–
First, press the home icon, and make sure you have a
Bluetooth® connection established with your generator.
Second, tap on the name of your generator and enter your
PIN code. If connection is successful you will be taken
to the “Dashboard” screen. You should see “Off>Ready”
above the green “START” button in the app. Once you’ve
confirmed connection is properly established but the
generator fails to start, the issue is usually no fuel, low
oil level, or loose spark plug wire. Check troubleshooting
section for other causes.
My generator will not shut down or Generator Stop Failed
notification
–
If you are unable to stop the generator via iLINK, turn the
fuel select dial to the “OFF” position. If running on propane
(LPG), shut off the propane at the source.
How do I change my PIN code?
–
From the “Dashboard” screen click the Menu icon.
Choose the “Change Pin Code” option. You will then be
asked to enter and confirm a new PIN code.
What happens if I forget my PIN code?
–
In the app, press “Forgot PIN” and then press and hold
the red button behind the outlet panel on the generator for
7 seconds, this will send a notification back to iLINK with
instruction to reset your PIN code.
Notifications
–
iLINK will notify you of several events/issues as it relates
to connection status, overload, overvoltage, low fuel (for
gasoline only), low oil, low frequency, etc. There are two
kinds of notifications: “Action Required” and “General
Notices”. You turn on/off push notifications for either type
under “Settings”.
Can I connect more than 1 device to my generator?
(e.g. husband and wife phones)
–
You are able to connect multiple smart devices to the
generator. Each device can connect independently but not
simultaneously. Disconnect one device before connecting
another to the generator. The generator name, photo, and
PIN code remains the same on each device.
Can I have more than one generator paired to my iLINK
app?
–
Certainly, you may pair as many as (20) Champion model
100544 generators, depending on your smart device
memory.
Will iLINK automatically disconnect from the generator if
my device is out of range?
–
Yes, outdoors, in an open field, you can get a range of up to
~40M or ~125 ft from the front of the generator. Indoors,
obstacles like concrete walls will attenuate the radio signal
and the effective range will be reduced. In either case, if you
cannot get a signal from the generator, move closer.

generator.
2. Use a soft bristle brush to remove dirt and oil.
3. Use an air compressor (25 PSI) to clear dirt and debris
from the generator.
4. Inspect all air vents and cooling slots to ensure that they
are clean and unobstructed.
