TROUBLE SHOOTING
Situation Probable cause & solution
The door operates from the door control,
but not from the remote control
The door doesn’t open completely
The door opens but won’t close
The door reverses for no apparent
reason
The operator does not operate from
either the door control or the remote
control
The sending eye indicator light does
not glow steadily after installation
The receiving eye indicator light does not glow
steadily
The receiving eye indicator light is dim
Check if remote battery is dead.
Is the remote programmed?
If the door has been working properly, but now doesn’t
open all the way, re-adjust the force setting
Check the safety reversal system, check the sensitivity
Remove any obstruction, and check the safety reversing
system. Check drive force and sensitivity adjustments.
Is the operator plugged in??
Is the wall control properly wired to the interface board?
Check for electrical power to the opener. Check for a
short in the white or white/black wires, that can occur at
staples, or at screw terminal connections. Check for
incorrect wiring between sensors and opener. Check for a
broken wire.
Check alignment. Check for an open wire to the receiving
eye. Check CTS switch closure.
Realign either sensor.
MANUAL RELEASE TEST
CLOSE GARAGE DOOR,
then pull down on the red
manual release handle and engage cable stop in slot of
retaining bracket. The operator output sprocket will dis-
connect. If you need tp pull the manual release handle
when the door is open, be sure no one is standing in
the way or door travel.
Weak or broken springs could
cause the door to fall (either rapidly or unexpected-
ly), resulting in serious injury, death or property
damage.

RETAINING BRACKET
Raise and lower the door manually to see whether
there is binding or sticking.
Release door about halfway open to test for balance.
It should stay in any point or travel, supported
entirely by its springs.
Remove cable stop from slot in retaining bracket to
reengage.
The opener will reconnect automatically when the
door control or remote control push button is
pressed.
