FIG. 10: Start the engine only from the operator's seat.
Never short across the starter terminals or across the
batteries.
FIG. 11: Only operate the tractor while you are in the
operator's seat. The seat belt must be fastened around
you while you operate the tractor. Only operate the
controls while the engine is running.
If another person is riding in the instructor's seat, make
sure they wear their seat belt. Never allow anyone on any
part of the tractor or its attachment except in the
operator's seat and the instructor's seat when the engine
is running.
