5.55 Converting 305X Series from Three Phase to Single Phase.
PROCEDURE:
1. Disconnect power to the machine at the wall.
2. Remove the auxiliary contacts from the top of the starter. To remove aux. contacts, locate the
release lever at the bottom of the contact and lift up; the contact can now be slid off. (The wires
can be left attached.)
3. Disconnect the wires from starter and overload (noting location) and remove.
4. Remove and discard the T3 wire from the power panel to the hydraulic motor conduit.
5. Install the new single phase starter and overload (part numbers E-2805-1 & E-2441-12).
6. Reinstall the auxiliary contacts.
7. Connect wires M1, M2, T1, 22, 23, and 25 as before.
8. Connect wire T2 to the overload location labeled 6/T3.
9. Remove wire M3 from the left side of the gray terminal strip above the motor starter. Connect this
wire to left side of the motor starter overload location labeled 4/T2 as shown above.
ADJUSTMENTS:
1. Set overload potentiometer to 26.
2.
Set “AUT/MAN” switch to “AUT”.
3.
Set adjuster in center of blue square to “R”. NOTE : Blue square will not be depressed.
