Drying the Air Filter Housing after Submersion
If water has been ingested into the air filter housing, Drain the air filter housing, remove the air filter, and
thoroughly dry the components. Do not use compressed air on the paper air filter. Contact your dealer if
vehicle performance issues exist.
CAUTION
Do not operate the engine without an air filter element. Unfiltered air entering into the engine can
cause engine wear and damage. Driving without an air filter will also decrease performance and can
lead to engine overheating.
CAUTION
Major engine damage can result in the vehicle if water has been ingested into the air filter housing,
and engine. Have the vehicle serviced by your dealer promptly if your vehicle becomes immersed or
stalls in water that exceeds the footrest level. It is important to contact your dealer for service before
starting the engine, as water may have been ingested in the air box and engine.
