PROGRAMMING CONTINUED…
3.9
If the phone will be used to implement
call restrictions
or restrict certain
calling patterns, programming locations
#70 through #79
will be used.
Assuming that “0” was selected for Digit 1 of the #00 programming
location, the call restrictions can now be set. If “0” was not selected,
simply go back to section 3.6, repeat those instructions and return to this
section. It is not necessary to repeat any other sections. Call “restrictions”
is another way of saying “allowed” calls. The phone will be programmed
to tell it what calling patterns will be allowed. All other patterns will be
blocked. Any of the ten programming locations (#70-#79) can be used to
program one calling pattern. The * key is the wildcard key, which allows
any single digit to be dialed in its place. As in the other programming
locations, enter the # key, followed by the two digit code for the
programming location, followed by the desired “allowed” calling pattern.
EXAMPLE:
Entering #700********** allows all 0 minus (operator
placed) and 0 plus (customer placed) calls. Entering #711800*******
allows all 1-800 numbers to be dialed. Entering #72911 allows 911 to be
called. Entering #73587**** allows only local calls beginning with 587
to be called. This may be done for as many of the ten locations as you so
choose. If you have not programmed the phone for call restrictions, then
you need not use #70 through #79 at all.
•
Be sure to record your allowed calling patterns in the Call Restrictions
Table below for future reference.

If the phone will be used for
speed dialing
, programming locations
#30
through #59
will be used. Enter the # key, followed by the two digit code
for the programming location, followed by the desired speed dial number.
Locations #30-#59 afford you thirty speed dial locations. Each of the
thirty speed dial locations will store a number of up to eleven digits in
length. If you make a mistake or wish to change a particular speed dial
number, simply enter the # key, followed by the two digit location code,
followed by the desired number. This will erase any previous contents and
store the new number. It is not necessary to repeat any other steps.
