14. RS232C Interface

 

 
Data from the scale can be output via the RS232C interface to other devices, e.g. printer, 
PC ... 
 

Technical Data 

 

8-bit ASCII Code   
1 start bit, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity bit   
Baud rate selectable at 1200, 2400, 4800 , 

9600

 and 19200 baud   

9-pin D-sub female connector   
Use correct interface cable (max. 2m) to match below pinout 
  - Pin 2: Tx 
  - Pin 3: Rx   
  - Pin 5: Gnd

 

 
 

In the menu, the RS232C output can be set. To achieve this, follow the sequence of operations below:   
Turn on scale using the

 ON/OFF 

key and wait for the zero display. 

Press and hold the

 FUNCTION

 key until "UNIT" appears on the display.   

Press the 

UNIT/COUNT or HOLD/PRINT 

key several times until "Pr" is displayed. 

Press 

SET/TARE 

key to display current setting. 

Press the 

UNIT/COUNT

 or 

HOLD/PRINT

 key to select setting based on below table.

Baud rate

 

The baud rate defines the transfer speed vie the interface, 1 Baud = 1 Bit/second. 
To set the baud rate, in weighing mode, press and hold the 

FUNCTION

 key until "Unit" appears.   

Press the 

UNIT/COUNT

 or 

HOLD/PRINT

 key several times until "bAUd" is displayed.   

Press 

SET/TARE

 key to display current setting. 

Press the

 UNIT/COUNT

 or 

HOLD/PRINT

 key to select the desired settings 

  9600 => 4800 => 2400 => 1200 => 19200 
Press the 

SET/TARE

 key to confirm setting. The scale returns to weighing mode.
