4. If no hydraulic fluid comes out once the screw has been unscrewed, the level is too low. Top up the fluid in this case.
The level must be at the height of the small bolt on the side of the tank underneath the casing.
5. If fluid comes out, let the excess quantity drain off until the correct level is reached.
BLEEDING THE AIR
Each time the jack is serviced, with parts connected to the tank and motor pump removed and refitted, it is advisable to
bleed off all air.
Bleeding phases:
1. Allow the pistons to come to a fully extended position.
2. Turn the jack over so that it rests on the plate by prying on the handle as shown in figure
DWG. 16 .
3. With the jack resting on the plate, operate the lowering control and allow the pistons to retract almost fully
4. Return the jack to its working position.
5. Push the pistons all the way back in and check the fluid level.
6. Try operating the jack without any load; if the piston does not lower smoothly, repeat the procedure at least 2 or 3 times.
MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS TO BE PERFORMED ONLY BY A
QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN
When maintenance or an overhaul of the jack is required, use only genuine spare parts to ensure the utmost reliability for
the jack.
THE MOTOR DOES NOT WORK, OR RUNS POORLY
- Check that there are no kinks or blockages in the air supply line, and that the pressure of the compressed air circuit
is at least 8 bar - 116 PSI.
- Check that the distributor
4 - A00456 4 - A00456 is working correctly by disconnecting the hoses and checking that air passes
through.
- Check the gaskets on the cylinder
26 - A04537 26 - A04537 . If worn, replace them (KIT KMYAK415/R)
THE JACK DOES NOT LIFT THE LOAD
- Check the quantity of hydraulic fluid in the tank (see procedure "Checking the hydraulic fluid level" in the
"maintenance operations to be performed by the user" section). - There is dirt underneath the valves: remove the
casing, close the cock
POS. 12 A04303 POS. 12 A04303 , turn the jack over so that the cylinder is in horizontal position and the motor
pump in vertical position, unscrew the cap 11 - A04537 11 - A04537 , remove the balls and springs and blow air inside to clean
thoroughly, before refitting everything, beating the balls again if necessary 7,8 - A04537 7,8 - A04537 ; bleed off all air, then put
the jack back in normal position and re-open the cock POS. 12 A04303 POS. 12 A04303 .
HYDRAULIC FLUID LEAKS
- Silencer is leaking fluid 5 - A04537 5 - A04537 : The pumping element 25 - A04537 25 - A04537 or gaskets 21,24 - A04537 21,24 - A04537 could be
worn and must be replaced.
- Vacuum pump is leaking fluid
29 - A04537 29 - A04537 : Check the fluid level; it might be too high. If the jack has been turned
over or tipped up, the leak will stop after a short time.
