SIX GREETING MODES
The TA-150 has six greeting modes. (See pages 8-13 to program greeting modes.)
1. GREETING 1 MODE - Greeting #1 plays the primary greeting to callers. When the GREETING 1
MODE is activated, “GREETING 1” appears in the LCD.
2. GREETING 2 MODE - Greeting #2 plays the second greeting to callers. When the GREETING 2
MODE is activated, “GREETING 2” appears in the LCD.
3. GREETING 3 MODE - Greeting #3 plays the third greeting to callers. When the GREETING 3
MODE is activated, “GREETING 3” appears in the LCD.
4. TIMER-SELECT MODE (Timer activation for GREETING 1 and GREETING 2) - In the TIMER-
SELECT MODE, you program the greetings to play at specific times. For example, program
GREETING 1 to play from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and GREETING 2 to play from 6:00 p.m. to
9:00 a.m. When TIMER-SELECT is activated, the CLOCK icon and either GREETING 1 or
GREETING 2 will appear in the LCD, depending upon which greeting is currently activated.
5. CALLER GREETING-SELECT MODE - The TA-150 allows you to operate this mode in two
unique ways.
A. Leave a primary greeting that allows the caller to choose between two additional greetings for
customized announcements by pressing selected telephone keys. For example, “Please press
κ
2 to hear the visiting hours for the Beach Zoo. Press
κ
3 to hear directions on how to get to
the Beach Zoo. Press
κ
1 for this greeting to repeat, or wait for the beep to leave a general
message."
OR
B. Record one or two confidential or personalized greetings as GREETING 2 and/or 3 and,
personally inform selected callers to access these special greetings by pressing either
κ
2 or
κ
3. GREETING 1 will be played as the primary greeting for all callers.
When the CALLER GREETING-SELECT MODE is activated, the MESSAGE BOX icon and
“GREETING 1” are displayed in the LCD.
6. RING-PATTERN SELECT MODE - If you subscribe to a distinctive ring service from your local
phone company, set the TA-150 to the RING-PATTERN SELECT MODE. Standard ring calls will
be answered with GREETING 1 and distinctive ring calls will be answered with GREETING 2 and
GREETING 3. In the RING-PATTERN SELECT MODE, “GREETING 1 2 3” and the BELL icon will
appear in the display.
ANNOUNCE ONLY
Set the TA-150 to only play greetings and not record incoming messages. This feature works in all
six greeting modes. “AO” will appear in the LCD to indicate the ANNOUNCE ONLY mode is
activated. The clock display will not appear when the machine is in the ANNOUNCE ONLY mode.
(Please see page 14 to program ANNOUNCE ONLY mode.)
