7 - MAINTENANCE
STORAGE
Machine storage
If the machine is to remain unused for a period exceeding 30 days do the following:
1. Choose a location to store the machine under cover
or plan on covering the machine with a waterproof
tarpaulin.
2. Clean the machine completely and clean the engine
with a high-pressure washer.
3. Avoid rust paint all surfaces of the machine where the
paint is damaged.
4. Check the machine for worn or damaged parts and re-
place as necessary.
5. Lubricate the machine and drain the transmission, hy-
draulic oil tank, rear axle and engine and refill with the
correct grades of oil.
6. Check the radiator coolant level.
If the machine is
within
100 h
before the scheduled maintenance after
2000 h
, or within 2 months before the maintenance
scheduled after 2 years, perform the prescribed main-
tenance operations.
7. Operate the loader attachment so that all its cylinders
are in fully retracted position and rest the bucket on a
block of wood.
8. Place the backhoe attachment in the road travel posi-
tion.
9. Take the engine to the operating pressure, then stop
it and operate all the hydraulic controls to release all
residual pressure from the hydraulic circuits.
10. Drain the engine oil and fill in anti-corrosive oil.
11. Drain fuel from the tank.
12. Produce a mixture of
90 %
diesel fuel and
10 %
anti-
corrosive oil and fill the tank with it.
13. Let the engine run for approximately
10 min
.
14. Stop the engine.
15. Manually rotate the engine several times for cylinder
and combustion chamber preservation.
16. Disassemble the belts and store them.
17. Spray some anti-corrosive grease in the pulley races.
18. Close the suction and the drain openings.
19. Coat the exposed portions of the cylinder rods and
control valve spools with grease.
20. Remove the battery from the machine and store it.
21. Place blocks under the axles to remove the weight
from the tires.
22. Cover the exhaust pipe opening.
23. Before operating the engine again, it is necessary to
