Choose the cooling comfort setting desired, low or
high cool.

FAN

Set the master control to low or high position, and
the fan will operate to circulate room air without
cooling.
When switching to the fan only setting, allow a few
minutes before switching unit back to the cooling
operation.

OFF

Turn the master control knob to OFF, and all func-
tions will stop.

EXHAUST CONTROL

Your unit is equipped with an exhaust air system.
This function expels stale, smoky odor laden air
from the room to the outside. To operate slide the
exhaust lever to the open position, and turn the
master control to a low or high fan setting.

NOTE:The lever should be in the “CLOSED” posi-
tion in order to maintain the best cooling effect
when air ventilation is not desired.

THERMOSTAT

Maintains room temperature automatically. To
determine your desired temperature setting, turn
the thermostat towards

COOLER

for lower temper-

ature control, or towards

WARMER

if a higher tem-

per-ature setting is desired. Cooling operation auto-
matically starts when the room temperature rises
above your desired thermostat setting, and stops
when the room temperature reaches your desired
setting.

NOTE:The fan will operate continuously to main

tain optimum temperature control.

AIR DIRECTION CONTROL

140 Casing

The up/down direction air louvers are controlled by
fingertip pressure on the louvers.
They regulate air discharge upward, downward, or
straight ahead.
Two separate banks, of side to side air direction
louvers have separate tabs to let you direct dis-
charged air to the right, to the left, of straight ahead.

150 Casing

When the AUTO AIR SWEEP switch is set to on (l),
the vertical air deflector moves slowly left and right
and distributes air around room.
Vertical blades may be stopped at any position
when the switch is off (O).
The horizontal air deflectors are adjusted manually.
